I've heard nothing but good things about it.

This seems to be a pretty good write up about it. (Even though the author is a douche).

A) Maybe its the beer, but your post confuses the shit out of me. Punctuation and sentence structure are your friend.

B) Bondo does not fix rust... it makes it worse

C) Pics are your friend. Post up some pics of what you are talking about and trying to do.

If you have rust HOLES, the only way to fix it right is to cut it out and weld in new metal.

If you want a "keeper vehicle" and can't weld, or don't want to learn, start with something that isn't rusty.

Rust bullet is great, I used it on the floor of my truck before the new pad and vinyl went in. That product is a rust encapsulator, not a rust remover. All of the existing rust scale must be removed, and then the area completley cleaned before use. The Rust Bullet then seals the rust and prevents any future rusting. Bondo does not fix rust, it is designed to smooth reworked metal that was dented, not fill the dents themselves. Also bondo does nothing positive for rust. If you are not a welder then patching body panels is pretty much out of the question. My solutionis to replace the entire panel that is rusted, like a front fender. For those areas that must be patched I would say dig around on youtube and find somebody that made an instructional video. Welding body panels is actually not that hard as the power is set very low, and you only have to make spot welds; the bitch is that you have to make a lot of them, the video will show you. Like all other fabrication skills patching takes time and practice. Alas, always remember that these are old trucks that will sustain body damage so perfection is not necessary.
